Premiering at Gazelli Arthouse, London, streamed to a large, online audience on Twitch, with socially-distanced audiences watching live. An immersive, video game: live performance, live sound, live editing. A cinematic journey through two parallel stories of 'Third Culture' woven into an English village in the 1980s. One night, two people recreate a strange, true story from their childhoods. A boy alone with a knife, a girl with one eye, barricading her bedroom door shut.
"Ugly shots can be fired behind closed doors, but open ones let the dark in…"
Third culture is an outsider state, a state of not belonging, where there is no single reality to tether yourself to. A superpower for which you pay a price.
